The ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard will be our goal for the next few months.
Our new ISO2001-2008 certification was finalised last week. This is a full replacement of our
quality system after our fire in 2007.
All of the staff received their NVQ2 certificates on the 2nd of February from Matrex Training &
Development Telford. The Business Improvement Techniques program was done in house at
Acoustafoam over the last year. Well done to everyone. MGT. Group A with their NVQ2 Certificates.

We would like to wish Mr. Alan Jones of Appolo Chemicals a long, heathy and happy reirement. Alan was out first supplier back in 1979 and over the years become a good friend to us all at Acoustafoam. Mike Tranter said that he as not aged a day from The Fastbac days, he was an old man then. Best wishes M.G.T.
February 2009.
Acoustafoam have implomented a training program for all our employees. With the help of Matrex Training and Development of Telford all the shop floor personnel participated in the NVQ level 1 program. This was very rewarding and good for all involved as no presure is put on any individual within the company. This week all of us have started level 2 the Business Improvement Techniques progam V2. This program allows all to be part of a team and inturn will help the company to achieve our goals. The program gives individuals the oppertunity to progress within Acoustafoam and also feel part of the company.

Cork blocks, sheets and rolls are now available in a range of grades
Modelling, flooring, anti vibration,diy products, polishing wheels, expansion joints, automotive, electrical, gasoline, gas and diesel grades.
Cnc cut shapes, seal, gaskets, tiles, acoustic solutions, vibration pads, thermal insulation. An incredibly versatile natural material, cork is harvested from living cork oak trees somewhat like wool is gathered from sheep. The trees are unharmed by the process, and they continue producing cork for an average of 150 years.

Our annual shut down is the last week of this month and the first week of August a small number of staff will be available to help if required.

Acoustafoam have now intoduced a full range of filter foams from 10 to 80 PPI.
Typical applications are speaker grills, filtration for engines, ink rollers, water filtration,
respiratory filtration, air filters, medical filters and aquatic aquarium filters.

2008 NEWS
June 2008.
Every cloud has a sliver lining. After a major fire one year ago Acoustafoam are on the way back to becoming a major player again in its field. With the help of the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise the company will move into a state of the art energy efficient purpose built manufacturing unit and office facilities later this year.
The facility and the £1,000,000 investment in the company has been planed by the management team to automate production, become energy efficient and environmental friendly thus giving all at Acoustafoam working conditions second to none.
July 2008.
This month Acoustafoam start to lay out plans for moving into the new factory.
August 2008.
The new factory is complete and we are moving Production over the next 6 weeks.
The administration and offices will be moved back for the end of September.
Acoustafoam wish to welcome Mr Mark Mckeown to the company. Mark takes up the position of Sales Manager Polyurethane moulded products. The Directors and staff wish him well in his new roll.
